Title: Back into the swing of things for 2020...
Post by: Dave J on May 04, 2020, 11:19:40 AM
Over the last few years, my motivation took a huge hit and hadn't recovered. After a few significant changes in my life, a couple of back operations and a change of job, it seems like its returned! I usually build aircraft, but things have changed and I been building a few armour kits lately.

This is what I have been doing this year so far -

Completed

Tamiya 1/35 Marder III "Normandy Front"

Tamiya 1/35 Panzer 38T

Corée Productions 1/32 (54mm) Erich Hartmann + Hasegawa 1/32 Bf-109 Tail, I painted this figure back in 2010, and finally got around to finishing it!

WIP's

Border Models 1/35 Pz.VI Ausf G

Meng 1/35 M4A3E2 Jumbo Sherman

I also have the Rye Feild Models M4A3E8 Sherman on the bench, but I haven't really taken any images of it yet.

If you are wanting to see more images, they are on my Facebook & Instagram pages - Dave J's Modeling Page.

Not an armour builder myself, but those look great -especially the Marder. I also like the Hartmann vignette, I'll save that in my random idea folder :)

Cheers.

I am thinking of doing the same with the WNW Ace Figures. I just need to see if I can get some spare sprues first!

Hi Dave,
I just stumbled into this section. It funny I got myself a Tamiya catalogue and they still have the same kit photos I used to spend hours gawking at as a kid. Did a Panzer iv in a plaster snow scene and few other Wehrmacht goodies. So seeing your work takes me back. Thing is I still can’t decide to get one, or which one though the Marder’s appeal. Hope the mojo’s back! :D

Excellent models, Dave!

From time to time i take a diversion from Aircraft models and go to the dark side of Tanks or Sci-Fi Spaceships... I find them less demanding in terms of patience...
