Title: WWI Honour Goblets
Post by: macsporran on March 23, 2020, 07:02:49 AM
Watching BBC Antiques Roadshow tonight and up popped a lady with two items from her late father's militaria collection - two Honour Goblets which she believed had been Richthofen's! The expert didn't think MvR and was frustrated that they couldn't be linked to a particular pilot but though even so, they'd be worth ten grand.
He'd never seen one for real so was very excited. Great, unexpected bonus for Sunday night viewing!

Yes, nice to speculate on those

If you could link them to a pilot - £30,000 perhaps

If you could link them to MvR - £skies-the-limit

Interesting. I thought most of his trophies were at the family estate. I've also wondered about a repro victory cup; he had 60. Forgive me for yhinking kf I had PJs money, I'd find at least one...
