Title: Monogram Pro Modeler Me 410
Post by: RAGIII on February 05, 2020, 10:00:58 AM
So Terri has Me inspired to finish this "Shelf of Doom" Model. It is the Monogram Pro Modeler Me410 started and abandoned about 15 years ago  :-\ Since then I have lost the Main Wheels and am looking for replacements...if anyone happens to have or know of a source shoot Me a PM! So thinking I need to do a bit of weathering and of course mask the  canopy which is challenging!

Right on Rick !

Looks like we got a mini GB starting to take shape , I got so catching up to do . I just start masking the canopy , there is lots to mask . Are you going to mask the inside on the canopy ( roll cage ) ? The framing is mold on Meng's , but I didn't mask the inside ( lazy ) ....shhhhh

Wonderful paint work on the camo . There is an aftermarket wheel set , Aires has one ME410 wheels kit # 4276 1/48 scale .

Thanks Terri 😊 A mini GB is cool with me 👍 As for the Aires parts apparently they are OOP. Hopefully I can find someone who used them and saved the kit parts 🙄

PS: I think masking the canopy was where I faltered back then ! I may take the lazy way on the inside, we shall see.

She has held up well in the intervening years.
I wish you luck finding those replacements.

Nice paint job  ;)

Very nice looking model, Rick.  The dust its collected makes for good weathering!

Thanks Ken. The hardest place to remove the dust was/is inside the pit!

That looks very good Rick. I cannot understand why, having got so slose to finishing, you did not do so. It would make a very fine addition to your collection.

Thanks Stephen. I think it was a combination of Masking the canopy and just getting too involved in 1/32nd WW1 kits  ::)

Rick - just came across this thread...looking forward to seeing your finished build. I have one of these kits stashed away somewhere (acquired without a box, so it's chucked in with something else) and would love to throw it together sometime. Like I have oodles of time  :)

Cheers,
Gary
