Title: Mastercasters 1/32 S.E.5a parts
Post by: RLWP on January 02, 2020, 11:28:02 PM
Mastercasters make replacement parts for the Roden kit, specifically a cowling (and wheels) and a radiator with prop

https://www.mastercasters.co.uk/mastercasters-detail-sets/mastercasters-1-32nd-scale-detail-sets/ (https://www.mastercasters.co.uk/mastercasters-detail-sets/mastercasters-1-32nd-scale-detail-sets/)

What issues do these parts correct?

As for the upper fuselage forward section the Roden kit had no bolt details for the section representing the tank. The description of the prop mentions enhanced hub detail. The radiator I think, gives a more detailed wire mesh at the top. IHTH,

OK, so it sounds like I could sort the top of the fuselage myself by adding details (if I wanted to)

On the other hand, the radiator looks like a good option as it shows part of the core

Thank you, that's helpful

I wish you a better experience with MasterCasters than I had.  A few years ago I ordered the Nieuport 17 cockpit detail set, and when I requested the order be cancelled and my payment refunded after months of their excuses why the order hadn't been fulfilled, I was castigated as a "typical boorish American." In fairness, I DID receive the refund, but when I told them that I would be purchasing LSM's N.17 set instead, I was told that Mike's (LSM) products were "rubbish."

I have bought the radiator via Ebay and Paypal, so I should be OK
