Dear all,
from time to time I get caught by a non-WWi kit or figure respectively. So I always loved Tamyas little Austin Tilly and when I got my hands on a great looking group of resin figures from D-Day miniatures from Poland, I was hooked. An old lady with her bike from Masterbox and a K2 telephone box from an unknown Ukrainian manufacturer (fantastic kit, althought not cheap) finish this little scene.

My original intention was a more rural landscape but I definitely wanted to add a typical English red telephone box, and the only one I could get was a K2, which was only used in London. Why are no kits of a K6 telephone box out there?
Hope you like it although it’s not WWI

Congratulations on another masterpiece Andreas. Change the phone booth to blue and the Dr. Who fans will love it more (just kidding, its beautiful as it is).

Another wonderful diorama Andreas, always a real treat.
Congratulations,
Dave.

Beautifully done Andreas, your modelling skills obviously go well beyond WWI Aircraft as the figures, accessories, and the vehicle are all first class models of their own. I spent a long time studying this scene, and the longer I did the more I can see. Great job of "projecting" a theme or story, I like this little diorama a lot!

Your vignettes are simply superb, Andreas. The subject, composition, execution and presentation are beyond praise. This is real artistry backed by terrific craftsmanship.
(I hesitate to mention, but only to save some smartarse at a show doing so, but Mrs Ainsworth would be "losing" her countenance not "loosing".)
Wish I could model like this though.

I had the chance and honor to see this little jewel in Ried and was completely flattened by the realistic execution and the story. It is so hard to create such story telling diorama, you are a very great artist and a master of paints!
It was so nice to meet you there :-*
Cheers,
Frank

Thank you very much Robin, Sandy, Steve, Rick, Terri and Frank!
Thanks for the orthographic correction, Sandy. I‘ll correct it as soon as I order new engraved plates from my trusted dealer.
It was also a pleasure to meet you Frank, as always! I hope your wife is feeling better now and we‘ll meet at FFB next March.
Best regards

You are not just a brilliant modeller Andreas, you are a born artist too. I would love to be able to put together a vignette like that, with all the subtle and careful detailing. You make things look so simple when in reality there has been a great deal of thought and imagination applied to the subject. That really could represent 1940 London as contemporary photos demonstrate. I would really like to see it too but sadly I do not think it would be possible so I will be satisfied with the photos!
