Hi gents!
This is my first W.I.P. in this Forum. I know that I'm not starting with a "pure" WWI model, but hope you like it!
The inspiration came to me in last Telford IPMS Convention in november 2018, in front of the table of my Club there was Arctic Decals table, in the last minutes of the Convention I disturbed Mr. Mika Jenfors, the owner, and bought this:

There are two good photos of the original one in the web but they are covered by copyright, so I can't post them. Looking in my stash of models still to build I choose the old Revell 1/72 kit as a starting point. Studying photos, this Fokker was an O.A.W. built of the last series, the louvres on the fuselage front sides are so similar to the latest Fokker built reproduced by the Revell kit with only minor differencies. As you know, the kit is "empty" in cockpit so I started building a master for fuselage structure side:

This master will be useful for ALL the D.VII in my future. Studying photos again, it seems that the two seats modification was made leaving the front tank and all the MG system to place the second seat for the passenger. The tank was moved in the center section of the main wing (as the one of SPAD's). Pilot retain his seat, other modification involved the holes where the flying wires comes out from fuselage, maybe for the presence of the new seat. This are the links of the originals:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/varese2002/27912020112
So I built the structure and started to fill it:

Some things are scratchbuilt and some not. I used seats from Roden D.VII with Eduard photoetched seat belts and dashboard. When I bought the new Eduard 1/72 kit I added two of its photoetched set for other kits, as this one. Now I'm ready to close fuselage halves, I painted Clear Doped Linen the inner surfaces.
Every comment will be welcomed!
Cheers!

Knowing how small that is because I usually work in God's Own Scale, that is an amazing piece of scratchbuilding. If the remainder of the model is even half as good as this it will be an exceptional model.

Incredible work, Roberto. 1/72 scale - wow.
-
As already said, wonderful detail and finish for such a tiny scale, just terrific work!
Cheers,
Lance

Thank you all!
Now the fuselage is closed and I'm in "battle" to put a Roden Mercedes engine inside the model, adjusting the upper panels around engine.
I will show you in next days!

Thank you to all for your kind comments!
Now I want to show you something more! This is the rudder bar scratchbuilt with a broken drill bit 0,5 mm. dia. and really thin copper wire:

I choose to insert a BWM instead of Mercedes from my spare parts box, from Roden:

The main tank was moved into the central section of the main wing, from photos it seems was a three-parts tank, and this is the system to fill the engine, it needs only a piping from this to the motor:

Fuselage was closed, I added only a 0,4 mm. Evergreen between the fuselage halves, again the radiator comes from Roden:

What a nice detail work in this small scale - cool project at all! I was not aware of a two seater of this type.

The rudder bar and fuel tank brackets are amazing: I had to remind myself that this is the One True Scale and not something very much larger. Super modelling skill on display here.

Thank you guys!

@Stephen: yes! The True Scale and the only one for me!

Hi gents!
So my Fokker two seats is finished! Some shots of the last steps:
Front place had windscreen of Nieuport inspiration, so I took from the Eduard Ni.17 the windscreen and used it as a master for other "hot printed" pieces, on the left the original one:
I scratchbuilt all the struts because of the heavy thickness of the kit ones. I put main wing on and...finished!

The mechanic came from the Preiser range, with "Texaco" emblem on the back cutted from the decal instructions, the little fuel cart from Hippo:

Hope you like it, comments are welcomed!

Wow...almost hard to believe this is 1/72. :o
Gorgeous and the Texaco logo on the back of the mechanic is a stroke of genius!

Thank you for the kindly comments!
I need to admit that I forgot to change the cutout of the main wing over the "passenger" seat.
My mistake, my shame.

What a great little aeroplane!

I agree with My Amigo! You have taken an Old Kit and turned it into something beautiful and UNIQUE!

What a little cutie in Texaco red ;)
Reminds me of the famous commercial „Mach' Station bei Texaco“ 8)

Beautiful model! I like very much the refuelling wagon and ground crew member - makes the model much more attractive and interesting. As Rick has written, you have taken an old model and turned it into a little gem.
Stephen.

Absolutely excellent! Congratulations on this Little gem!

You've added some amazing detail to such a small subject Roberto, as others have remarked it's difficult to realize it's in 1:72 Scale. Unique subject, nicely finished with lots of details all combine to make this a real winner!
Cheers,
Lance

superb. glad you told me 1/72, otherwise i'd have never guessed.

Thank you to all!
I never expected so much congrats. I'm really grateful to all of you for the good comments.
Most of you are great modellers, so double pleasure.
Thank you!
