Hello friends,
Today I start my construction report in a different way. I hope you agree.

Too funny (and as Terri stated - Cool).  Looking forward to seeing this giant (I saw one built up before and was very impressive).

I have built a fairly large model in this scale (Dornier Rs II flying boat) but I know that that would be dwarfed by the Staaken, so I am going to follow with great interest.

PS: C. Dornier was working for Count Zeppelin when he designed the flying boat, so our models also have a name in common as well as size!

Quote
Dear participants of the construction report of the Zeppelin-Staaken,
As we have heard from several sites, there are comments on the manufacturer's Lozenge pattern. The main point of criticism is that the pattern can not be processed without offset due to its non-linear division on three sheets (especially since all sheets are identical) when the supplied stencils are used. Our solution proposal looks like this. Copy the templates and patterns on one Din A3 sheet (color or SW, possibly in a copy shop or similar, if no Din A3 printer / copier is available)
Now cut out the stencils and glue them onto the patterned lozenge pattern as shown in the following pictures.

If necessary, this newly created stencil can additionally be copied again. Now the decals can be cut halfway offset. This is especially recommended for the upper wings and heights / rudder. Due to the shape of the hull, unfortunately, it will not be 100% possible. Since the upper two-part wing is longer than the single Decal sheet, two sheets must be placed side by side so that the right sheet is rotated 180 degrees. The cut edge is then not quite as noticeable. The lower wings are not critical as they are separated by the hull.
Yours sincerely
Construction management Dallgow-Döberitz

A brief information of the aircraft shipyard Dallgow-Döberitz!

On Friday we received a letter from Roden. Of course, we do not want to withhold the content from the participants in this construction report. (Hauptmann von Bombe was of course already taught)

We think we can live with that.

Kind regards

The size of this aircraft is apparent from the figure: it is huge even in the True Scale. The extra details that you are adding are very impressive indeed. Will the fuel guages be visible on the completed model?

Dear Mr. Stephen,
As it looks, you can see some fuel gauge through the new roof.
The construction management would like to thank all guests for their interest in this project

The construction management informs.
Since the coolers above the nacelle are not exactly detailed, they were supplemented by etched grid parts.
