I have been asked in the past to post Group Photos of My Albatros and Fokker DVII Builds. So I took a couple of VERY QUICK photos of the DVII's to give an idea of what I WANT to do. Any and all suggestions for background, arrangement of Models, etc. are greatly appreciated. One other thing, used My Phone for the samples ;D

Since you need a lot of real estate for a group pic, maybe a plain bedsheet over a table will be a good surface that won't be distracting?
You may not be able to photograph more than four at a time in order to get closeup enough to see the details.
Consider using a darkened room with controlled lighting on the subjects. That way the far background will not be visible or in focus.
Just a few ideas.
