Besides my chief interest in WW1 aviation I am also interested in beginning of Polish wings in post WW1 years. This includes the history of Puck Naval Air Base. I am still waiting for the WNW to release FF.33 or FF.49 which I could build in Polish colours. And in this waiting time I decided to go with this side project - a model of the aircraft from 1935 - Lublin R.XIIIG, to be finished as one example - white 714, from the third series of float planes coming from Lublin factory to Puck naval unit.

Over one year ago Lukgraph released this lovely resin kit in 1/32 which I got on preorder. Now it is finally the time for it!

Fascinating subject, the interwar era is often neglected but offers a lot of great, innovative for thei times machines.

That's a really interesting Kit, the aircraft (new to me) has the classic lines so typical of the "between the wars" era that I really admire. I have a couple of 1:32 Kits from that era including an older Williams Brothers release that I acquired for "something different" to get a change of pace on the work bench. I'll be looking forward to following your progress on this one.

Some progress.
Floats assembled, joints filled, sanded, bubble holes on the bottom side filled, The cross bars fitted.
Wheels assembled.
Beching trolleys under construction but main bodies done - have the gaps filled, sanded and bubbles filled.
Float struts cleaned, holes filled.
Work on fuselage halves started - the bottom joint will require substantial filling.
The bubble holes are being filled with pieces of round plastic profile - much more effective than pouring the glue into them.

Outstanding work on all Przemo! Are the pins molded in the struts or is that an addition you made?

In this kit all the struts are reinforced with wire, which ends are popping out at the tips. You can trim them with simple razor-saw if you deem them too long.
In the photos at some spots you can see through the semi-transparent resin and glimpse the wire inside the elements.

And here is a report on some more tedious work.
The internal truss is assembled with the joints CA-filled and sanded, holes for rigging eyelets drilled in the quadrilateral fields.

And the work on the wing started. Numerous bubble holes filled with bits of white plastic profile. The joint with the small centre piece - filled with CA and sanded - this three times already and still requiring some touch-ups.

The period between the World Wars offers so many fascinating and beautiful aircraft, and this one is a perfect example. I dabble in the "Yellow Wings" of the USN for that reason, beautiful vintage aircraft with spectacular color schemes that I really enjoy for a change of pace. This looks like a great Kit and I will be following your Build. Another great piece of Polish Aviation History!

I am not sure if it is a serious question. ;) But since I am a teacher, I will try to answer as if it were one. ;D
The sides of the truss have the elements (posts, longerons, braces) forming triangles and quadrilaterals. The former ones are stable structures and thus do not require rigging, the latter ones are not stable, they are subjected to sway deformation, and thus do require rigging - that is where, in the inner corners, I drilled the holes to introduce the eyelets for the rigging - all this will be added after airbrushing.

Some more work on resin preparations. Wing and stabilizer struts required multiple sessions of filling and sanding - the white spots indicate the affected zones

One of the front struts had a too short thinner section - it had to be corrected with razor and sanding paper - now they are identical and fitting to the scale drawings. Cleaning them I removed the raised details of tapes used to fix the Pitot tube pipe to one of those struts - they will be redone using selfadhesive tape.
Furthermore, the test fitting of wings struts and fuselage indicated that the wing sits too high over the fuselage and the cabane struts fell too short. But further measurments with the scale drawings showed that the problem was in too small spacing of the wing mount points for the main struts. The holes which were already prepared for the struts had to be filled and the new correct locations more off the fuselage are now traced - they will be drilled when the filled old places are sanded... Definitely, more to come soon...

My experience with resin shows that the paint layer does not help for perforations.
