Title: Fokker E.1 Early compass
Post by: Alexis on May 08, 2019, 11:03:37 AM
I have tried the great world wide web and before I start pulling my hair out ( I'm very attached to it ) .
Did the Fokker E.1 early have a compass ? and if so where is it located ? Nothing is mentioned in the instructions or did I miss something ?
And if not , how in the hell did the navigate ? Land marks and such ?

Terri,
I think You did not omit anything.
On E.I there was no compass installed permanently, neither in the cabin nor on the wing. The compass on the right wing appears on E.III late - for most options.
On Immelmann’s E.II and E.II / E.III early there’s a place for compass, but further to instruction it shall be removed. Same with E.IV - however compass is seen on several photos...
