Title: 1/32 CSM Nieuport 17 "Late"
Post by: Oleg on April 18, 2019, 07:14:50 AM
Good evening friends

I would like to share with you a wonderful model that I`m currently building - CSM Nieuport XVII. For this build, I`m only using parts from the kit (OOB) so no extra accessories had been or will be used here, turnbuckles are handmade.
Usually, I have few hours per day to build something, so for the last 3 years I am mostly building WWI models, and I think I fell in love with that era, there is some sort of romantic thing with it

The idea with this project was to make a sort of skeleton, but without any additional parts or scratchbuild, all here is done from the box, with cutting few parts here and there.
I hope to finish this model for the display at Miltone Keyne show in UK 28.04.19 (next weekend) at CSM stand

This is beautiful work Oleg, the detail is exceptional! A really unique subject with half the frame exposed like this, one to be very proud of!
Cheers,
Lance

cool idea, well executed. there's one guy who won't be weeping when he closes up the fuselage.

For some reasons I've seen the completed model before the build log... But this way I can appreciate even more the beautiful and clean work you made on this Nieuport.
A brilliant idea to fully exploit the great CSM kitset.

Yer 1/32 is a scale for detailing the detailes! And with a sepia finish you could fake some newish factory photos! 😉
Could you kindly tell a bit more about the Techniques, materials and colours you used to us?
