I started both the Nieuports ( early and late types ) but only the early is being assembled at the moment, here are some pictures of actual status.
I still need to choose the final subject, so top wing is waiting some more time.

Wow Giuseppe, looking fantastic with a great start on the early. Looking forward to seeing more on this one and the late version.

hey Giuseppe!
I am starting my early Neuport too for the Des’ memorial group build and i’ll use some of your pics as reference...
your build is super!

Beautiful work, Giuseppe!
Looks really clean.

Really like the work so far Giuseppe, makes me want to break out mine!

Beautiful beginning! Your construction and painting is neat and clean. Well done to date!

Beautiful interior. Looks fantastic all together and rigged!
RAGIII
-
sweet!
your build is very clean!
what did you use as turnbuckles? Gaspach’ offering?
they look very good.... I should try them myself.....
ciao
edo
-
Thank you for your comments. Turnbuckles are Gaspatch 1/48 type C, installed with microtube sections. On the left side I tried to install rigging without tubes, harder but looking more to scale.

Giuseppe

Wonderful interior!
Andreas
-
That is a beautifully detailed interior. I am extremely impressed with the rigging and turnbuckles as they really make the interior look realistic.
Stephen.

Great cockpit Giuseppe :D
-
Brilliant interior work, Giuseppe!
Cheers,
Bud
-
very nice detailing. What do you think of the CSM kit?
-
Thank you all for your comments. I think it's a very good kit, comparable with WNW with a great attention to interior details. If relly looking for weak points, engine is not as fine as its counterpart but still well done and there is no suggestion about the colours, its greatest strength is clever engeneering and a gorgeous instruction booklet.

Sorry for pictures low quality, I've been working on my early Ni17 even needing some retouching before advancing to next steps.
The cockerel is hand drawing over stenciled white silhouette.

Awesome work. I hadn't thought about the wire bracing so glad you posted this shot. I would have forgotten it on my GB Nieuport ::)
RAGIII

Thank you for visiting Rick, I still need to install a plaque on the lower central junction of the wings at the forward gun support. I ruined the first transparents trying to install them with a supposed "non crazying" cyano, then redone with white glue. On second thaught if I will be building another plane with acetate windows on the wings I will try to soften the clear part with heat before installation but this still need to be tested.
Ciao
Giuseppe

Great looking model.
Bill
-
Giuseppe,
Outstanding works my old friend. I'm most impressed with your paint, just awesome. For the upper wing glazing you might try to find a canopy glue. I'm not certain who makes the stuff but it works very well. As a added plus it dries flats so it's difficult to notice over flat paint. Keep up you excellence!
Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette
-
Thank you Bill and Gregory. I will try and gather a real canopy glue for next builds.
Ciao
Giuseppe
-
hey Giuseppe!
I tried with white glue too, but it popped off like a spring... :-[, now i set for cyano....
didn’t know about the rigging thoug... too late for me, at least if it doesn’t pop off again....
very beautiful!
ciao
edo
-
Thank you Edo, it's anyway a minor detail. I made she stand on her feet and attached rigging to upper wing:

A lot of retouching is due before positioning upper wing :( and I still need to find a goodway to place tensioners on lower ving, close to vee struts.

Rigging attachments look awesome Giuseppe! Really taking shape and looking terrific all around! I hope I can get my early model looking half as good!
RAGIII

Okay, another beauty here...!!
Is a "crowded" working table a mandatory requirement for such a good build..??😊
-
Thank you for your kind comments. The crowdede bench is a pain but after two house movings some space is messy this way. I hope to have the area cleared, sooner or later ::) ::) ::)
Ciao
Giuseppe

Giuseppe,
Absolute beauty my old friend. I really love that hand drawn Cockerel too. Looking forward to more of this beautiful kite.
Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette
-
Wow!! This is coming together beautifully!!
Steve
-
Sorry I have missed this Guiseppe - my how neat and clean your work is. The cockeral is something that I just wish that I could draw and paint - alas I could not. The interior detail is simply breath taking - so much detail and all so clear. This is a mini-masterpiece in the making.
Stephen.
-
Gregory, Steve and Stephen, thank you for visiting and your kind words. I hope this will be completed soon.

Beautiful work. THe interior, the paintjob and the rigging looks great! I hope I will find somewhen some time to build mine.

Giuseppe,
Spectacular work and the detail is impressive to say the very least. Your work desk looks pretty organized and fully functional to me as I peer over my shoulder to survey the "war zone" on mine! This is going to be a really outstanding model when completed, I'll be following very closely to pick up some pointers for mine.
Cheers,
Lance
-
Coming along beautifully so far , that is one sharp looking scheme :)
Terri
-
Thank you Lance and Terry, for visiting and your encouraging comments. And Lance, it's good to know I'm not alone to build in a war zone :D :D

Wonderful progress. When it comes to my working place, these (rare, really rare) days when I clean up my room it takes hours and hours to get things look more or less tidy. Then I shut my eyes for half a second and suddenly its as messy as before. Must be a magical thing somehow...
Andreas
-
Beautifully done Giuseppe, looks great thus far.
-
Andreas and Juan, thank you for visiting and commenting. Yes, keeping a tidy bench is not easy but my one had better times and I definetly need to remove something to gain the inner area, safer to avoid dropping pieces and tools on the floor :-[

Closing to the end, but still needs a lot of retouching.

Beautifully done Giuseppe! Very nice shading on the wings and a very nice, clean build. The prop hub looks great in this colours.
Bye,
Manni

Lovely build all around! I hope I can do as well as you have. I do have a question and sorry if I missed it somewhere during your build: What brand of paint and what colors did you use for the green and brown and the undersides?
RAGIII
-
Thank you Manni and Rick. About the colours I did't mention them, sorry. Having no sure reference I tried to match at my best with colour profiles of Marc Chassard's book and the CSM instructon booklet so don't take them as real colours. My choice was the following:
Vert clair (light green) Mr. Hobby H58 interior green (I tried before with H303 green FS34102, but was unsatisfied and oversprayed with H58. It's looking slightly darker because of the undercoat but I like the final hue)
Marron (brown) Tamiya XF10 flat brown
Bleu clair (light blue) Tamiya XF23 light blue
Undercoat was flat white with black preshading for wing spars and ribs. Protective blue for metals, struts and contour tape is Tamiya XF18 medium blue.
I hope this can help, at least as a starting point.

That's one heck of a spinner!
Lots of colors on this one.
How many models do you have on that desk?
-
Terry, Edo and Ken, thank you for visiting and commenting. I know it's a shame but there are parts from some five models scattered on the desk and some more in the cabinet ::)
As mood is coming up and down, strarts overnumber ends...

This has taken a major step forward Guiseppe. The wing, engine and spinner are very impressive - in all the whole model is very impressive!
