1919-1920: polish nation faced another risk of losing its new born nationality, just after independence has been regained after 123 years of occupancy, first by risk of next war with Germany, due to reluctance in accepting the conditions of new borders and secondly by the turmoil on eastern front. The threat of next war coming from the west settled gradually but on eastern borders the melee persisted. That is where I want to hold for this thread. It seems that DFW C.V Burzynski&Anders will be repeated after great & imitable Przemek’s build but believe me it is just coincidence:)
Below the DFW C.V Burzyński & Anders, two famous figures, Wladyslaw Anders, Polish general well known from leading out the Polish army, enslaved in Soviet Union just after 1939 Soviet attack on Poland and Kazimierz Burzynski, great pilot, who flew 2000000 km in his long career
I treat this one as sub-thread i.e.2019 project to be done till year end. So far I got such pieces done

I have started to work on the engine. I have added own push rods and rails for spark's plugs wires, the latter was omitted in WNW kit :(
BTW. It is not done yet..

I use Badger Stynylrez Primer Yellow, then take oils mixture, never remember which exact tones taken for particular job ;) but for sure take 2 layers with dryer

Now that it's all together I have to comment on such a terrific job, K. The interior is just spectacular and the whole inside module with the engine is impressive beyond words, lovely work!

Hi
In order to close the fuselage I had to add Spandau machine gun. Once 08/15 was picked I have also done all of them provided by WNW i.e. IMG, LMG & Parabellum. Up - plastic part & PE at the bottom. For the Parabellum it is clearly visible the bottom version mounted

I have also found some optical stuff in the kit and could not resist. Done all of them adding only some fluid to imitate the lens

This is looking really great Krzysiek. I'm doing a DFW mid-production for the Des Memorial Build so it is all very familiar to me but I'm a long way behind you on progress. That suits me as I can learn from you! 8)

I have left fuselage in such condition:
and started to prepare wings for final glaze layer.

Hi
Decided to encounter the props. This kit provides couple of manufacturer's to be chosen for particular aircraft. Did all of them using the pastels and oil finish

Thanks,
This one was not neglected at all!
Last few days I was focusing on nationality markings, which been applied on the fuselage at first place
Just few brush corrections must be made additionally, but the amount of those is not significant!

Wow K, that is looking spectacular.

Agree with all of the above - stunning work. I have just finished my DFW engine - the wiring drives me crazy. Yours has come out much better than mine - I'll post my results later this week.
An interesting discussion - perhaps? - I take the distrubutor leads into the outside rim. You take them into the little plugs on the face. I think the leads are gripped by the plugs rather than feeding directly into them? Yours feels like a better option for building as getting the leads into the outer rim where it faces the cylinders and block is really hard. It is a tiny detail and virtually invisible but I am interested in the correct way. Anyone else know?
Cheers,
Alistair

Well, I have seen your engine photos and it seems you taken right decision. Same approach can be found here: https://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=1016.0
Getting back..
Further steps with wings covering you can find below. I am thinking of last sanding exercise (2500 or 3000?) to show more linen weathering

PS. once looking and bootom part of wings I am not satisfied. I will also do some glaze by lighter tone to equal the level of paint covering

Looking terrific K! I am looking forward to the results of your light sanding and glaze!
RAGIII

Bravisimo K, looks fantastic.
-
I do like how the top side of the wings turned out , super job . The underside you are right . It is to stark and a toning down would solve this . Will you use a lighter shade of linen ?

That is right Terri. Thus I have done 3 steps more:
- 1500 sanding
- Lighter linen tone application
- And umbra dry pigment
Now I need varnish the wings and will be done!

Good Day,
Last update - spoked wheels. The hybrid Gaspatch and gasket approach ;). Not so convincing in terms of the material being used for spoked i.e resin but after the assembly I will check the result
