Evening all,
Finished! Beautiful, beautiful kit. Very complex for 1/48.. it’s really a 1/32 kit shrunk.
Thanks for following along.

Sharp and clean. Just lovely SE5a. Great modelling, congratulations, Guy.
-
She's truly stunning, Guy! Looks more like a WNW model than 1/48 scale. Makes me want to get back on mine.
Cheers,
Bud

A Beautiful kit for sure and Made even better by your fantastic Build! Superb work all around Guy!

Outstanding Guy!
That looks sensational. I have the Eduard Hispano engined version to do as Stan Dallas' machine. Your build shows how good the Eduard SE5a is.

Lance quality build at record speed, good show.

Congratulations on another beautiful build.

Spectacular Guy, and it does defy it's scale. You've really aced this one, crisp, clean, and most impressive modelling top to bottom!
Cheers,
Lance

Thank you all, you’re too kind :)
It’s one of those few and far between builds that I’m actually happy with on completion. No disasters along the way even!
Can’t decide what to build next? I’ve got a 1/16th Camel, a 1/48 Eduard Spad or a pile of non WW1 still to make..

What a high speed build :o
Great result (even if I notice some things; but this is only possible, because I know this kit and variant. On the other hand you added details, which I do not have).
For my taste the NIVO could be darker, but this depends also on pictures, white balance of the camera and so on.
A wooden 1/16 Camel would be nice as next project.
I would be great to build all the Airways 1/16 wood/metal biplanes, but I miss the space for the finished models, so I stay with my big 1/48 stash. May be in the next life. ;) So it would be great to be able to watch someone realizing the own dream.
Cheers,
Frank

Thanks Frank,
Yes, not without errors as ever!
The 1/16 Camel is plastic (Hasegawa), their 1/8th kit is wood. I’m quite enjoying my smaller kits at the moment though - after a long run of exclusively 1/32. I’ve even got a 1/144 Beaufighter on the go!

Agree with all the above, a real sharp build !

Beautiful work!! It really looks to be a bigger scale.

Nothing I can add -that really looks neat, and a great tribute to it's original pilot!
-
Very well done. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely superb, Guy. This one turned out very well indeed. Your rigging is noteworthy. Like others have stated, it's hard not to mistake this for 1/32. Congrats again on a very nice model.
Cheers,
Gary

Great looking 1/48 model, Guy. Looks like a larger scale.

Ah thanks for resurrecting this ;D
It’s a super little kit.
