this arrived last Friday just at the most convenient time.

fit is perfect. as advised i put the fret in a technical vinegar solution (i.e. not for consumption) to degrease and etch a bit for paint adherence. the pieces fit together perfect and it took me about 30 minutes to assemble both wheels. of great help was a bottle top that exactly matched the diameter of the rims so i could place some pressure on the folded outer rim to let it adhere properly as this will be a loadbearing piece. i'll probably make a transparent shim to put under the axis to help the model survive in the long time...
