Meine Herren !

Here some newsflyers shown at the Bavarian Army Museum, a British Navy flag, the first bomb dropped on Munich and some personel items of the painter Franz Marc.
Franc Marc and Wassily Kandinsky were two expressionist painters who founded the artist group Der Blaue Reiter
(lit.: The Blue Rider)
FM was born in Munic 02/1880 and died 03/1916 at Braquis/Verdun.

First Plakat:

The Bavarian War Ministry announced that at 1 o'clock p.m. an E.A. flew over Munich and dropped 7 bombs without doing much
harm. It flew away westwards.

The last picture shows one of those bombs.

Berlin, 23rd of April, official announcement
On April 21st Rittmeister Manfred von Richthofen did not return from a  fighter sortie  to the Somme.
According to concurring observations by his companions and various other observers v. Richthofen pursued
an enemy aircraft down to low altitude as possible engine trouble forced him to land behind enemy lines.
Since landing went without problems hope arose that he might have been captured in physical good condition.
Instead Reuter News Agency message made it plain that Rittmeister Manfred v. Richthofen met his death.
Since Richthofen as the pursuer could not have been hit by his adversary in the air it is assumed that he  fell victim
to a chance hit from the ground.
According to the British announcement Richthofen was buried on a churchyard cemetary close to his landing site on
April the 22nd with full military honours.
