Hi,
Just realized that before my last Roden kit build I have started this one thus some thread is required.
Received this kit form Xmald together with decals some time ago and as decided to do Roden/Eduard's engine comparison in latest thread one can say the Eduard’s kit was started as well.
No doubt it is high time to proceed with the rest of the Eduard assembly now :)
Ps. Will use some Aviattic decals as well ;)

K,
Your cockpit is amazing detail for 1:48 Scale, and very clean work as well. Great start to what should prove to be a very nice Build. I'll enjoy following this one.
Cheers,

Excellent start, as always, K!

Looks great, how did you do that?
Mark

well, how to explain this oldfasion way..take sheet of paper, adjust the angle of its edge to the surface and spray by moving the sheet with some sequence. then change the paint and follow first steps until you get the expected outcome.
You can do left -right approaches ..if you know what I mean..
pathetic explanation..shame on me:)
-
Looks fantastic K, especially in 1/48!!!

You've captured the "streaking" effect very nicely K, I really like the results. It looks slightly faded and diffuse just as the photos we see of it, nice work!

Got it, looks the part for sure.

Looks great! Your spaying method is interesting. I might give it a try on some plastic sheet to see how I do 8)

Hmm, the moving sequence I have't understand yet complete yet, but for me it's the "method of the year"! Great result, and be able to do it with airbrush instead of a brush seems to have advantages. Thank you very much!

Great work on the cockpit and the engine. Your streaking is clever and beautiful!

While Lloyd's oil cover is drying I got back to Fokker and did some improvement
First on the tail. I have used original decals as finally will be covered with the paint

Then used Aviattic 5-coloured lozenge. Incredible quality & result!!. It went even better than in Bastyr's D.VII (4 coloured)

Very nice. I particularly like how you used the loz on the stab and elevator and just let it barely show through. You pulled that one off perfectly.

I agree 100%, K! That's about all the kit lozenge is good for. You did a superb job with your pre-shading also.
Cheers,

Catching up. Great idea. Kit decals are handy as you've used them. Nothing wasted.

Hi,
Little progress below..just before final assembly. Opps..at this stage guns are strongly required to look more like a fighter :)

:o 8) Fantastic and colourful, K you have achieved a great result so far...
-
Very colourful, I love the contrast of the lozenge, the red nose and the camouflaged fuselage!
Not meant as critisism, but if the aircraft fuselage is in streaked camoufage, would the elevator/tailplane not be in the same streaking instead of shine-through overpainted lozenge?
Look forward to the next installement! :)
