HI All,
I've seen people in some places speculating that on the 100th anniversary of the last day of the Red Baron (Apr. 18, 1918) would see a Fokker Dr. I released by WNW.
Anybody else believe it?

i don't.
they've said publicly they don't like to release stuff another manufacturer has done adequately. the overlaps with Roden were accidental when both released the same aircraft at approximately the same time, at least that's my understanding.

21st April.

I doubt that we will see this happen but not because of the Rodan kit. I think the DR1 is way down PJs list ::) On the other hand it would be a perfect opportunity as they already have an Obereusel engine. It also could be put in a Duelist version with a Pup, RE8, or SE5a 8)

Would sell like hotcakes, but would not hold my breath.

I hope they don't. Celebrating a persons death with a product release (even if it happened 100 years ago) feels like really poor taste to me.
It would also all but guarantee Roden never returns to WW1 in 1:32 with new subjects, but that's probably already true...
(Was 4/21/18 btw)

Yes agreed that would be in poor taste.
WNW stands as a class act in a world that has declined in too many aspects.
-
No chance.

"Celebrating a persons death with a product release (even if it happened 100 years ago) feels like really poor taste to me."
- Happens all the time in the arts - the Philips Mozart Edition etc
"(Was 4/21/18 btw)"
Already been pointed out above. (21/4/18) 🏁

I doubt it will come out. Jan would have been the time. Now would be a bit in poor taste
Although nowadays that doesn’t count for much.
