Good Day,
As Antonio pointed out few dozen threads ago that this French plane constitutes the neglected topic so must be considered as top urgent action to be done!
I will use those 2 kits and perform Italian one for sure. Second will be Belgian.

For couple of days I am trying to adjust&alter the kit proposed by Eduard into sth more like Hanriot’s replica. I have done crating just to be properly visible once assembled, did the intake pipes, drilled cowling, hybrid Eduard’s & Small Stuff engine from spares etc.

K knows how much I like this plane, so I will follow this WIP closely!
I hope I will be able to move on with my triple 1/144 build... soon!
-
I will follow the progress with great interest, I remember that HD.1 with was my first or second model from WW1 period I've built years ago.

Watching your progress! One day I will touch this kit too.

I enjoyed building my Eduard HD.1 the most of any Eduard kit i’ve built yet! Looking forward to following this one!

Thanks for support ;D
As for me there is not other way then just to present next ups :D
I have chosen the easiest way instead of creating crate from scratch. The sides and bottom part are done for final assembly
Ps. The "turnbuckles" are not positioned yet ;)

I couldn't agree more, K!

It would be great if Pheon decals ever issues their Italian Hanriot sheets. Maybe a word of encouragement to Rowan might help. :)
-
Great start with the Hanriots, this is a must for me to follow.
And I would like too the italian edition of Pheon Decals if it becomes available.

Top - twin build. The interior looks very good!
Bye,

Thanks a lot!
I have been following the status of Italian marking from Pheon, but after my last reminder approx 6 months ago I got the notice that it was not scheduled in the nearest future. So gave up :(

I had a similar experience, I decided not to wait any longer and made my first 1/48 trio without Pheon decals.
I think I will not make any more Hanriot (oops, no, I still have the floatplane in my stash)... too many other interesting planes around waiting to be built!
By the way I love your work so far K!

I agree the Hanriot is under represented and it should be made. Great job on yours.

Lovely work! A delight to view! I will definitely follow this thread! Regards, Marc

Appreciated for warm welcome ;D
At the pilots back, where fuel intake was located I have added the alu scarf clearly visible on pics available.

Very fine work on that pair, Krzysiek. I like it very much, I like the Hanriot itself. I will be watching with great interest.

Your color selection is excellent and your painting is terrific!

Thanks!
For time being I have prepared the shape for the base and did imitations of stitching. According to Windsock it starts just behind the inspection panel so contrary to what Eduard presented.

Excellent stitching work and correction to the kit!
RAGIII

Thanks!
The engine is the hybrid being done from Eduard’s part and Small Stuff leftovers
For the engine assembly I had to do some inner cowling thinning but have not reached the engine running. It barely moves.
According to photos available the Vickers machine gun was relocated to the centerline of the fuselage in both cases i.e Belgian & Italian. The general idea was to improve pilots access to the gun during the flight

Coming along great! If you're interested, here's what I did with my Hanriot to get the engine the way I wanted it. When I did my HD.1 last year, I did some minor tweaking of the kit parts for the engine, and it ended up looking the part and still spun freely. I assembled the engine the way the instructions asked, with the exception of the intake pipes. the way the instructions showed assembly, the pipes end up on the wrong side of the cylinders, so I put that part on "backwards" and bent the pipes forward to meet the cylinders. I still had clearance, and the pipes looked the way they would appear on a real Le Rhone 9J. only thing I wish I had done was rounded the PE part for the timing cover, but otherwise I'm happy with the result! here's how it looks.

Keep up the great work on this pair, I love Hanriots!

Looking good, K! As good as these look, somehow that stitching really stands out :)
-
Thanks Guys for the support!
I have tried to enhence the outcome that is why started to change those things..and finally have not reached my initial intention.
Current status: 50% of prop running!
Let's move forward and focus on tail now. It is really close to that how it should look like
