Has anybody built the SH Nieuport 11 or 16? How do they go together? Are they well detailed?
I read Tom Cleaver's review on Modeling Madness, but as usual, he's vague on the build details. :-X

It’s a nice simple model to build. As long as you can work with no location holes which is typical of short run kits then it’s a straightforward build. I’m building now and all issues have been with me and primer.. not the model

No holes, even for struts? That could be tricky...

I just checked my kit and the Strut Locations do have SMALL holes that I am sure will need to be enhanced with the proper sized drill bit. No Holes for lower wing locations just indications. I searched when you posted your question because I would have sworn that we had a couple of these built in the last year or so. No joy in finding the threads though :-[

Hi, I built one of these for the French Group build we did a year or so back but I'm afraid I can't find the build log of it on here anywhere.
All I can say is that I don't remember any particular bad points save one internal frame was mis-moulded. There were indications where the struts should go so these were drilled for pins before hand. The fitting of the lower wing is marginal at best so this was overcome by drilling the lower wings to take pins and fitting an ali tube across the fuse. I was very pleased with the outcome and bought another along with the Roden Nie28 . Unfortunately other factors have interfered and I have little time or the inclination at the moment.
They are not WNW by any means but with perseverance you can produce a very nice model from them

This isn’t mine but I’m using his build log. Pretty much all strut locations have to be drilled. The cabanes will need a bit more than that to get them to seat and look correct.. but for a limited run it’s pretty simple and will give a sense of accomplishment...
