I used Xtracrylix silber with Alclad chrome and polished aluminium. The decals are Xtradecal 1/48 type B roundels 84 inch and the Lift here is from the Pup decals. Rudder and stripes are painted. D7000 is from Xtradecals 1/48 7 inch RAF codes. This a/c uses the wooden undercarriage and the prop needs a paintjob!

Thanks fellas
I have finished the prop and put the exhausts and fixed the turnbuckles tonight. Had to modify the wooden undercart with metal axles as they wouldnt fit. Ive gone cross eyed so I stopped.
If anyone fancies doing this scheme, I'm sure you would do a more thorough and better job than me, but there are several photos of D7000 on google, showing the scheme. It had B type roundels with fatter red discs, no white surrounds and darker blue /red. This necessitated painting the rudder myself and using new roundels as the WNW ones are pale. Black lift here decals were from the Pup and I used an Eduard Sutton type harness. Tyres are truly black, prop is battleship grey with a dark centre and a white/orange stripe. Some photos show a prop cone and streamers on the tail and outer struts. Outer struts were wood finish
Lovely kit, but the carpet monster got the Vickers sight and back part of the tube gunsight.

Interesting scheme and choice to say the least. I think you are doing a first rate job with it, and look forward to more. Nice to see this to paraphrase "Monty Python: Now for something completely different." Nice work.

I've been rigging with EZ line.
I made a few errors. I haven't seated some turnbuckles well enough and didn't put 2 behind the rear centre struts. my goof. I also snapped off two outer struts and their locators. AArgh. Its recovered well though.....

Very nicely done. You're a braver man than me with this Alclad paint scheme, and you've done a magnificent job of it.

Chris
