Hi Guys,
so here is my first post in this forum, my Wingnut Wings' 1/32 scale Bristol F.2b Fighter. The whole thing took about four months of construction and painting. As many other said, my attempts to use 1/4 inch BSF Wires from RB Productions and one set of photoetch turnbuckles had driven me nearly crazy...
The finish was done by overspraying the cabin with a filter of PC 10 by JPS Color, slightly mixed with Tamiya brown (XF-68).

Sorry about the qualitity of the photos, this had been my very first attempt with my Canon SLR. The effect is like a scrim diffuser (Remember Hamilitons Film "Bilitis"? ;D)
A more detailed description of my built can be seen on Hyperscale by following this link:

So please enjoy. With greetings from Germany,

i like the way you kept one side of the cowl open so you can see the engine yet the other side looks complete. best of both worlds.

Yours model for me looks fantastic. I made this plane, but in 1/72 and there made ma crazy fixing lower wing to the fuselage.

That looks perfect to me, and what a great use of those RB wires. I love the terminals they make and will be ordering some more, but the wires I just couldn't get to grips with at all- very difficult to use well.

Truly stunning, Dirk. Outstanding craftsmanship all around.
Cheers,

Hello Dirk:
Yours is the first I have ever seen where the modeler used the flying wires. I bought a set and after looking at the complexity and fiddlyness, I opted for alternate methods. Yours is truly an outstanding piece of work. Thanks again for sharing. Looking forward to your next effort.
Best
