This is my 1/32 scale Special Hobby Bristol M.1c.

This is a wonderful kit and a quality product. The model is essentially OOB and brush painted with Vallejo and Citadel paints. The base is a wooden photo frame sourced from a thrift shop with Citadel ground texture and model railway grass on a PVA glue base, the ground modelled on a photo of this specific machine in the Windsock Datafile of the Bristol M.1c.

Rigging is done with the rolled wire method using electrical wire and Elmer's glue.

The Special Hobby WW1 kits are well worth their price and the Bristol is a little gem. Of special note is the resin wicker seat in the kit- an absolute little beauty!

Very nicely done David, your hand painting skills are second to none and the rigging turned out very well, the base is excellent and really compliments the model, you also did a superb job with the cockpit, well done David.

Des.

thanks!

Excellent build, Dave.
What isn't there to love about the M.1c?

Very nicely done Dave and compliments on your hand painting skills! A subject not seen all that often but always one to be enjoyed; as von B says "What isn't there to love about the M.Ic?"
Cheers,
Lance

That is a super model. I particularly like the base - so realistic and a wonderful background which really seats the subject off. Great to read that someone else uses rolled wire for rigging too!
