Just completed my Fokker D.VIII, modeled after Brian Coughlin's Fokker D.VIII that flies at Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. I added a Copper State Models Gnome 9N 160hp rotary engine as that is what his replica is powered with. Despite some ups and downs, I feel that it went together more easily than my Dragon Dr.1 from years past. This is only the second 1:48 kit I have rigged, and I used the stainless and copper wire included in the kit. Enjoy the pictures! rough painted area by the data plate is supposed to be the exhaust cutout for the Gnome on the replica.

Great to see that one built. I've a few of those in my stash.

Nice job, Ian! I, too, have this one in my stash, along with the Eduard kit. You've inspired me to crack it open.
Cheers,
Bud

Thank you everyone! I had a lot of fun building this one, and it looks good with my other Fokkers! Feels good to have some success rigging in 1:48.
