Title: Mounting points for rear seat belt on Junkers J.1..
Post by: 53ryder on May 14, 2017, 10:47:17 AM
Working on WNW Junkers J.1 kit. Slowly finishing up the cockpit areas. Looking at the instructions for mounting the rear seat belts. It looks like they mount high on the seat back and hang down towards the seat. I would have thought they would mount lower on the fuselage and come up over the waist of the rear occupant so as to keep them in the seat should the plane roll. For those who have built this model, what did you do?

Look at the colour pics on the WNW website you will see a shot of looking down into the rear tub from above, just above the aluminium control cable cover you will see an eyelet and loop hanging, I took this to be the seatbelt mounting point.

Hope this helps clarify

Nice deduction. The belt is actually more of a chest belt then no?
