Title: Pfalz DIIIa and DXII serial number size
Post by: jeroen_R90S on March 09, 2017, 01:13:30 AM
(probably) quick question... are the fuselage, strut and rudder serial numbers the same size on the WNW Pfalz DIIIa and DXII decal sheets? I have the DIIIa but in a far away future I might need some extra Pfalz numbers from the DXII sheet for a specific machine I have in mind and I'd be curious if they are the same size, or, at least, close. :)

Thanks!

Jeroen

wingstrut, DXII=.050   wingstrut, DIIIa= .053

fuselage, DXII= .130    fuselage DIIIa =.130
The DXII has no kit examples with serials on the rudder, and the DIIIa only two, which appear to be the same size.

Many thanks for taking the effort of making actual measurements!
The strut numbers seem close enough to use. I've had contact with Dave J to see if I can obtail a kit sheet or just the numbers as I'm not that interested in the D.XII.
I'll need only the "00" from 2600/18, the rest I can puzzle together from what's there in the D.IIIa kit.

Thanks again!
