Title: Bloody Paralyser - The Giant Handley Page Bombers Of The First World War
Post by: Squiffy on December 31, 2016, 07:26:21 AM
Long time no post. Hope you chaps all had a good Christmas  ;D

Bloody Paralyser - The Giant Handley Page Bombers Of The First World War by Rob Langham ISBN 978-1-78155-080-9

I bought this for myself as a Christmas present. It is a good read, very informative and I learned a lot that I didn't previously know about the O/100 and O/400 bombers.

It includes the prototypes, the uses and action in the various theatres of war and some about post-war use.

Another book involving HP bombers is Darkness Shall Cover Me by Humphrey Wynn ISBN 1-85310-065 X

I picked this one up, second hand, from a bookshop in Hay on Wye. It is a true story about Leslie Blacking and his time with 207 Sqn. RAF on the Western Front.

Great to hear from you again Squiffy.

The books sound really good. I'm also pretty sure that at Telford Edger laid out some of the parts of a 1/48 Paralyser CS are working on.

Best wishes
Nigel
