My dear friends today is my first day of my retirement.  ;D
Behind me is 46.5 years of hard work as a technician of numerically controlled machines.
Now I hope that most of the time I will spend with my grandchildren  ;D and making airplane models.  ;D

Congratulations on reaching such an important day in ones life Adam  :)

Make very day count for it will all too quickly begin to disappear at an alarming rate. Only 'yesterday' I was 65 - in a few days time I'm 72 :o

May you have some great time in coming years and enjoy your time when modelling

Congratulations, Adam!  Retirement is the second best job in the world, grandparenting being the first.  Enjoy both!

Congrats Adam! I envy you greatly. I still have 2 years and 2 months to go before I can hang up the work clothes for good!

i wish you a great time.  :D

 myself have to work 7.5 years. But I'm lucky because I can retire as a firefighter with 60. ;)
So, have fun with your grandchildren and that the sun always shines at your workbench.

Best wishes for a happy retirement, Adam. After 45+ years of working you've certainly earned it. I retired over 3 years ago, and have enjoyed the freedom of being "Grandpa" and building Model Airplanes full time ever since.  I only wish I had been wise enough to retire sooner!

My dear friends, thank you very much for yours wishes.  ;D
Currently my grandson (two-year-old Men) living in Belgium came to us, so I spend the whole day with him, and only when he is asleep,  ;) and I still have enough power  ;) than I'm doing new model Rodens SPAD VIIc1. 1:32 (soon I'll show it here). This model I bought just to celebrate the birth of this grandson.

Well..it sounds to me like a fable of dreamland.:) Once upon time was ME who ceased to work because mine goverment decided pay from now on for my bills & ..models :)
I envy you, really:)
Probably I do not live to see such a time for me
