Title: PZL P.11/I (Arma Hobby, 1/72)
Post by: PrzemoL on September 07, 2016, 07:03:57 AM
While I was working on my just completed Airfix BE.2c, Arma Hobby released their newest resin kit - the 72nd scale prototype of a Polish fighter from September 1939. This aircraft was designed in spring/summer 1931 and was then recognised as the best fighter in the world. The prototype had still some changes to face before it evolved during the next few years into the most known version P.11c. However when its time came to fight it was so badly outdated, that it is a miracle that Polish pilots managed to shoot down more or less as many German aircraft as there were Polish fighters around. About 100 P-11's were built and only one survived till now and is the icon of Cracow Aviation Museum.
When I saw the model, I bought it immediately and during the usual technological breaks in BE.2c construction I cleaned the resin parts, painted them, assembled, decalled and now it is ready. As you may see in the producer website:
http://www.armahobby.com/pzl-p-11-i-prototype-pro-set.html
it is a very simple kit to build with a few elements. But all of them are of the true top quality, the trademark of Arma Hobby models, which I can warmly recommend to everybody.

That's a real beauty Prze, great finish and very appealing. Enjoy the Brisfit, I still regard it as their best Kit!
Cheers,
Lance

Wow, you certainly made good use of your "technological breaks", my friend!  This little beauty makes me want to build a PZL myself.  I've always loved the lines and the gull wings of these kites.
Cheers,
Bud

That may be a first class kit but it has been built by a first class modeller too. Excellent work.

Stephen.

Thank you, Lance, Manni, Bud, Rick and Stephen. I am glad you like this little Polish kit of the Polish aircraft.

Bud, give it a try, really. BTW, Arma Hobby also produces some of their PZL resin kits in your 48th scale.
