Hi,
Here's my latest project, the 1/72 Airfix Eindecker.
Used the Eduard etch set and Ushi's rigging material.
Scratched the headrest, cut a windscreen and replaced the footsteps with copper wire.
Sprayed on the decals.
The wheels are scratch build using etch, filed out Albatros resin wheels, hollowed stretch Sprue between the etch and another one to sleeve over the original axel. Spare Eduard etch as wheel nut.

What a superb looking Eindecker, the changes you made and the painted decals certainly bought this model to life and you did a remarkable job with the spoked wheels, very well done.

Very nice Eindecker. Top build- and paintjob. I like it a lot. The motor cowling looks terrific.
Only point that I have mentined: Are the spokes not painted? they sick out a bit. They look like bare brass.

A great model and the wheels are a piece of art.

Yeah, I know, I did contemplate painting the spokes, may have looked more authentic, but in the end I took some artistic liberties and left them as they were

But it is still brilliant. 8)

That is God's Own Scale?!!!! That is simply outstanding. The wheels are some of the best that I have seen in this scale - excellent. Many congratulations.

A truly stunning model... I love it! Well done, Marc

Excellent build. Wonderful wheels which I suspect would be way beyond my patience levels and I like the riffle effect on the metal work. How did you achieve that?
Regards, Steve

Hi Steve,
For the metal, I used silver from a Tamiya rattle can which I sprayed on. Then mixed a little bit of blue and hand painted the squiggles.
As for the wheels, they were time consuming, but once I worked out how to do them, they were actually not that bad. Getting things centred was probably the biggest challenge.

Beautiful work sir!

An absolute little jewel, the detail and crisp finish is remarkable for the small scale. This is exceptionally well done, my compliments on a beautiful model! 8)

I couldn't agree more! The spoked wheels are absolutely sublime. I have to keep
reminding myself it is 1/72 scale! Well done, my friend.

Great build and impressive scratch building. This new tool kit from Airfix seems very popular and with good reason seeing results like this
