Title: Albatros D.III reference....
Post by: steveb on August 31, 2016, 04:42:05 AM
While building my Albatros D.V, I think I lucked out with all of the available D.V & D.Va material readily available on the web thanks to TVAL & WNW. I would like to build a D.III & D.III Oeffag, but I'm not finding quite as much info, although I have seen quite a few nice photos of Koloman Mayrhofer's D.III. So, I am asking what books would be good for overall information as well as details?

WindsockData File 19?

Albatros D.III: Johannisthal, OAW, and Oeffag variants (Air Vanguard)?

Other suggestions?

Thanks,
Steve

The best online source about Austrian Albatrossen are the threads by Koloman Meyrhofer at the old Aerodrome Forum:

http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35610 (http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35610) - 117 pages of info!!! (and some chat) - Jump to page 7 for some interesting pics.

Hope this helps.
