My vision of the famous night fighter BE.2c used by William Leefe Robinson on the night 2nd/3rd of September 1916 to shoot down a German airship and win VC.
EDIT. I have just realised that my build almost coincides with 100th anniversary of this important aerial victory!
Airfix kit had to be modified extensively and several areas brought to more to-scale look to satisfy my taste. Five months of modelling led me to this result.

incredible! A real piece of art!

Still trying to get my head round it's 1/72nd scale and the images I'm seeing on my screen are that much bigger than the actual model.
So beautiful.
Tony.

Prze,
In a word, Spectacular! She`s a fine tribute to your skills, and one to be very proud of.
Cheers,

A master class. The attention to detail is incredible.

Truly magnificent, Przemo! Perfect in every way!

Success in the end, after a long modelling job. Well done. All ailerons are dropped, is this correct (i have no knwoledge of the BE type, sorry)?

What an inspiring piece of work, Prez. Congratulations.

I agree with Bud! truly stunning build!

Thank you, gentlemen. I am glad you like it.
Stefan, there is a usual gravitational drop of ailerons observed on many aircraft, BE.2c included. Airfix made the wings integrally with the ailerons and with this drop. I liked the idea and decided to leave it as it was. IMHO it gives an extra life to the model, even if it may be slightly overdone - a scale compromise. ;)
-
This is so beautiful! Congratulations on finishing another stunning model...not tht anyone was in doubt :)
-
Well done Przemek! I'm speechless!

Truly magnificent!

Beautiful model.
This scale a deadly for my eyes :D
Congratulations !

Trulu a stunning little model!

Very difficult to believe that this is God's Own Scale - you have put in so much detail and the paint finish is just so realistic. I could be easily led to believe that this was a WNW kit. Very many congratulations and thanks for a wonderful build thread.
Stephen.

You and Brad are leading the way with these miniature marvels - Well done!

Stephen.
I agree with LM. Brilliant! And I haven't even made a start on mine yet (still building a model railway).
-
Many thanks for so many nice comments, greatly appreciated.
-
Absolutely great work and very inspiring. The finishing is excellent. It really looks like much bigger scale.
Best regards,
Paul

Thank you, Paweł!

Don't tell me: the fuselage stitching was done by a 1/72 scale seamstress.
Truly fabulous model in this classic scale.
You inspire me.

Fantastic work. Outstanding rigging in this scale, very impressive

Przemol this is a very impressive be2c .i followed this wonderful build since it began. The detail is amazing for such a small plane. This is my favorite of all your 1/72 models I have seen.cheers
-
Going through this build again I am still quite stunned by the amazing finesse and neatness... also the perfect attention to detail... Przemo, when you posted this on another site (that shall be nameless!) an experienced modeller refused to believe this was not a WNW 1/32 kit! We watch you builds with Admiration and Pleasure... Regards, Marc
-
Many thanks, everybody for your overly kind comments on my BE2c model.
Marc, you flatter me far too much. This fails in many aspects to be taken as a WNW kit. And you also know well, there are modellers around, who do much much more in this scale. You have seen it in the flesh back in February.
-
Catching up Przemo. The BE.2 is an absolute jewel, and it is even
more amazing to remember it is in the teeny scale. Brilliant job, my friend!
Cheers,
Ernie :)

I`ve been lucky enough to see this model with my own eyes and I can assure you it`s a true gem. Przemo is on of the best WWI modellers I know but when it comes to 1/72 he`s the master. Congratulations your award in Poznań and good luck in Szczecin! ;)
-
Thank you, Ernie and Filip.
But, Filip, one correction - BE.2c did not get anything in Poznań competition. Surprisingly it was Bristol F.2B Fighter that the judges liked more. So, to avoid such a funny situation, I am not taking both models to Szczecin, only BE.2c is going, Fighter is staying home. :)
-
And I was so sure... The F.2B is superb but the BE.2C is a piece of art IMHO. Good luck then even more ;)
-
Absolutely beautiful work. I'm finding it hard to comprehend it's 1/72.
-
Another one I missed. Fabulous work!!
Steve

Prze,
She's an awesome tribute to your Master Class skill and craftsmanship my old friend. Well Done!
Highest Regards,

Many thanks to you, gentlemen. I am glad you like my BE.2c. :D
-
More than just like, it is beautiful and so hard to believe it is just 1/72 !!!
Ed

Glad I caught this one (just catching up on things after a long holiday) - I'm floored at your incredible build. A work of art in any scale, this little gem at 1/72 is one of the nicest I've seen in this scale. Your long months of work on it paid off BIG time.
Cheers,
Gary

Many thanks, Ed and Gary. Very much appreciated.

A masterpiece!
