I've built a few Wingnut Wings kits since the came out. Have a couple that still need finishing — mostly done but halted for one reason or another. Have five in their boxes waiting for their turns. Being on a limited modeling budget I don't buy many kits and I choose carefully those that eventually do get ordered. As we all did I waited too long for certain Wingnut Wings kits, saving a bit here and there into my modeling fund when the ones I wanted went out of stock. The ones that got away are:
Harry Tate (particularly painful since, like the Roland ended up doing, I wanted to slowly build it during my cancer treatments when I had time and a great excuse to OD on modeling)
Sopwith Tripe
Albatros D.V
Fokker D.VII (OAW)
I snuck under the wire and scored a DH-2 before the went to Sold Out Land. (SOL for the
Military guys). Probably should have gotten two.
So, what are your Wingnut Wings kits that got away.
PS: I'm not all that interested in Camels, a Dr.1/F.1 will trigger an immediate order.

It hasn't arrived yet but I will make sure when it is here it won't get away, a BE.2
Like you I am not at all interested in a Camel.

I haven't stopped kicking myself for missing a W29 since they sold out,it was always going to be very popular.Taught me a good lesson though.

I honestly haven't missed out on a single kit that I really wanted. Even the DH2 was originally ordered in anticipation of it selling out. I sold it to raise some cash. Fortunately I was able to replace it this past week through WETA. I do wish I had picked up seconds on the OAW and Late Fokker built DVIIs, and one could never have too many Albatros DVs so not having a second or third of that one is annoying. Again when all is said and done I have built or have in my stash (6 plus 2 on the way), all of my true interests. I do want a Camel or two when they arrive ;)

The W29 is the only one I've missed so far although I do have it in with the Felixstowe dog-fight double kit.
Given the chance again I'd have perhaps have bought another Fokker D.VII & an Albatros D.V but other than that I've got the ones I wanted to pay for.
Having said that it's always nice to think that a replacement kit is available in the event of making a complete mess of a build or the model gets damaged but that's a limited option with WnW.

The W-29, Sopwith Triplane, & Hannover, Albatros D.V & D.Va. I'm still kicking myself over not getting these.

Having recently got a Harry Tate at a very decent price with Justin's help and a W.29 from a "Duellist" Buyer it's the LVG for me; I intended to get one for quite some time (intention and time being the weak parts of my plan......... :-\) Given it sold out very early and the prices it still demands on line I don't have great hopes. I've also been fortunate in finding a second Naval Pup since it sold out. A second OAW Built D.VII would be nice but not a show stopper.
Camel, you bet however unless the total price projected due mostly to postage and border fees for Canadian orders is favourably amended my original plan of two or more is not likely!

In case you're after a Hannover James, Ron has one at the Trading Table at the moment at a very reasonable price.

I would have loved to get another Sopwith Tripe - was a lovely kit to build, Albatros DVa (sooooo many decal options) and the LVG. The latter mainly due to the fact that the early release WNW lozenge, was, in retrospect and in my own opinion, not as good as what is available now!
I too cannot afford to buy every kit - in fact there are several I have little interest in as I don't find them aesthetically pleasing to my taste. Mind you, I wasn't that excited about the Fe2b, but got one as a gift and loved it!
I did save up and splash out on the Felixstowe very recently. God only knows when it will get built but I certainly didn't want to miss out.
I have a couple in my stash I may consider as investments, for example I have 2 of the RNAS Pup kits - I was lucky to snap up the final kit that Hannants had in the UK just after they went off-sale on the WNW site... I have another Albie but without checking am not sure if this is the DV or DVa..

I thought that they were reissuing all the kit's in super detail form,or is this just folk law?

Returning to the hobby this year I have been quite fortunate in filling most gaps in my wish list. The big one that got away was the RE8. I am not prepared to pay the crazy prices they go for on EBay. Just hoping that WNW will realise there is still a strong market and re-release.
-
RE8 too for me :( and maybe the LVG. Although I can't see me buying a duellists boxing. Shame they're not releasing it singularly - it does seem to be a bit of a marketing ploy on their part - not a criticism but will stop me getting one.
