Looked at Hannants website this morning and see a Rickenbacker SPAD showing in their Future Releases news.

I remember a SPAD being mentioned when the SE5a and Fokker DR1 were announced. It will be interesting to see if Merit ups their game with the next release.

If they release a Camel, maybe it will have an Uberursal engine, hee hee. (Then you'd be able to swap with the tripehound and achieve an accurate pairing.)
It would be nice if they did a few more - basically replicate the old Aurora single-seater line-up. I'd be extremely happy with that. Got the SE5a recently and it has the makings of of a very nice model, as we have seen from builds here.

On eBay uk, the SPAD is now available for sale from a vendor in Guangdong. Ex postage the price is just under £50 - thats about 5 USD I think these days!
I know of the dangers of ordering from some asian vendors but I think it indicates the kit is now released and we should see locally soon.

Interesting in that I checked Merits website and there is NO mention of the SPAD?

G'day from Tokyo!
I saw one today in the Volks store in Akihabara (downtown Tokyo)... 1/24 isn't really my scale, so I didn't pay too much attention. I can grab a price and a pic of the boxart, if anyone is interested.

do they still stock the WNW triplane and duellist fokker/dh2?
-
Didn't see either of those, but they did have the DH.2 solo kit... which is (sort of) available again from WnW anyway, so there wasn't anything out of the ordinary. The rest were all currently available kits like the DFW and Rumpler.
I *did* see the Duellist Fokker/DH.2 in Kyoto last week though! It's at the Yodobashi department store near the main railway station, in case anyone is interested... I can't recall the price exactly, but it was north of 20,000 JPY! Not sure if Yodobashi offer a mail-order service - much less outside of Japan though.

It's showing as sold-out on the page, however, like I said, I saw one in the flesh in Kyoto last week.
Sorry to get off-topic, OP!
