Post by: Dick dastardly on May 22, 2016, 01:29:49 AM
Hi
can i please have some advise on what size tube to order, I'm mainly going to build 1/32 WNW
is the a standard size or should i get some of each, that then leads me ask what size to use on what part of a kit
the sizes are 1mm 1.5--2-2.5-3mm any advise is much appreciated

I use mostly 1.5's on all the rigging wires and 1.0's for the flight controls on the tail and aileron control horns. I do occasionally use 2.0's or 2.5's for buckles on the control wires coming off bellcrank connections such as on the DH.2 or FE.2b. I'd recommend you get mainly 1.5's with a smaller supply of 1.0's and a few of the larger ones to have on hand. Have you considered Gaspatch turnbuckles as well. I use them where they fit in with 1.0 tubes to attach the line.
    Hope this is helpful.
Cheers,
Lance
