Title: Bidding Fever?
Post by: Ernie on May 07, 2016, 08:27:47 PM
I was somewhat taken aback seeing this...if true, a tidy little
return on investment.  Good grief! ;) ;D ;D

Cheers,

Wow, the top bidder must have been really desperate, good for the seller though.

Extraordinary! By my rough reckoning there appears to have been around seven separate bidders, so the market is there.

Best wishes

And to think we have been complaining about WNW price increase of single seaters to $79.00 and $89.00  :o

If WNW see that they'll re-release them AND put the price up too!... lol (joke)

There will probably be a few more up for bid now...

That is absolutely crazy and shows someone is bidding without using any common sense: If you really want one, simply buy the OAW version still available for a Lot less on the WNW site: It has all the plastic for a DV and a DVa in the kit: For decals, WNW have many alternative and great schemes still available: The instructions are great too... If you want one of the schemes in the original kit, you can simply post a request on modelling sites (like this Great One) and ask a friendly modeller is he just didn't happen to use the markings you want on his kit - I'm sure you can pick them up for a song - or sometimes just postage. Other OOP kits like the Hannover or RE8 are another story, but I do have a few OOP kits coming my way- the price will be a shocker - way below original listing - It just takes patience and application...

Regards,

Marc

Again, I am reminded of the old bidder we knew years ago as "redaxe" that would pay $125 for a Blue Max kit that was still available. Sadly, these bidders never show up when I'm selling something.  :'(

You should always see if the seller will receive the feedback...
some Hype - bids are just jokes between friends that end with a cancelled bid or simply the seller says that the item is no longer available.
but next time someone can be caught by the fever making the seller rich :)
