Title: WNW Roland CII. landing gear P.E. question
Post by: Isitwindyyet on March 27, 2016, 05:19:59 AM
I'm working on the above kit. I can not figure out where and how to attach the Photo Etch bridles or yokes to the landing gear flying wing. Or do they attach to the struts themselves. I am also assuming these are to be finished as painted metal, and not wood. Any suggestions or close up photos from someone else's build?

Thanks

Ron

I have just been looking at that for my build too (although I don't think I'll add it in 1:72) and I think the PE attaches to the ends of the spreader bar. The top end of the PE is attached to the bracing wire to the fuselage. I think it was just a way of tensioning both the front and rear portions of the spreader bar evenly with the one bracing wire.
