For the E, Eduard & Cyber-Hobby.

The F, Hasegawa - not an enormous choice out there.

For the G, Hasegawa & the new Revell G-6's & G-10's. The Revells are great value, maybe not quite as detailed as the Hasegawa's, but a lot cheaper.

I just finished building Revells new tooled Bf 109G-6 and it is great value for you buck . It has really nice detail for the pit and wheel wells and goes together well with very little putty need .

Cyber-hobby kits of the E series are awesome kit's ! Loads of detail , but they do have fit issues .

Eduard kits are also right up there as well with their E series and have lot's of up-grades in their Brassin Sets which I highly recommend having a look at .

Can't comment on the Hasegawa kit . Never built one in 32 scale .

Just a comment on the 109E. The Cyber Hobby E is a little more accurate if a little More Pricy than the Eduard. That being said I have built 2 of the Eduard 109Es and they do turn out nicely with a little correction to some details.

Lovely job on both Rick. Is the mottling on the second one sponge applied?
Cheers,
Lance

Thanks des and Lance. The Mottle on Wicks 109 was painted using thinned Poly Scale Paint. I then went back and rubbed it down with 1200 grit polishing cloth to even things out. Perhaps a sponge would have been easier but I was able to apply things the way I wanted them with the control of the brush.
Sorry for the slight Hijacking of the thread  :-[

I built the Eduard 109E and I had started the trumpeter version first. Whatever you do DO NOT buy a Trumpeter 109... its dreadful. I can't comment on the Dragon kits but have built the Revell 109 G6 and for the money is a fantastic vallue biuld, of course a few issues but if you arent too worried about them or are prepared to scratch or buy add ons it's  kit well worth the money, I think they do the G10 now too.

By the way, I also have started a Hasegawa Bf109F4 Trop. which I m converting to a F2 using the Aires set originally designed to convert the G into an F. I really like the interior parts and cowling in the Aires set.
