Thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself. Mike from Washington State. I started modeling as a kid and took the obligatory break when sports, then girls came around. I picked the hobby back up again after school when I quit drinking and realized I had nothing to do with my spare time! I was originally interested in WW2 aircraft but got in WW1 after discovering the uniqueness and challenge of building these wonderful planes. I think the history is exciting. I like to learn about the people that flew these planes as well. I currently have not built anything for at least 13 years! I would like to get back into the hobby. It is forums like this that make me think about dusting off my airbrush.

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome! I think it is time to break out my box of stuff, dust of my tools and get back to work. One thing I will find difficult is I now have to wear glasses 8). I also remember paint as being expensive. Building my core supply of "essential" paint will be costly. Also, when I started my modelling break, there were still hobby shops around. They are all gone now... Not good. No more running downtown to pick up an emergency bottle of paint or glue. I only hope you will be patient as I was always a slow builder. I think my first project will be the Roden Albatros D.III in 1/32. I seem to remember a particular pilot I was researching. Might need some help with that. Please look for future posts! Thanks everyone!
