Two years ago I start to build this kit of Roden but investigating about the subject I found some inconvenients. One of these was the wrong printed decals of Degelow´s deer by Roden, wrong shape and colour IMHO.
Fortunately I had the luck to receive the generosity of a fellow forum member FokkerJ that send me the deer decals that I need for free. I am very grateful with Jay, without his help this project would be impossible.

Dealing with some cockpit instruments.

The interior of the cockpit was something spartan, so I had to make some little pieces to enhance it.

Outstanding work even more so as has been said in that scale.

Adding some inspection lids and a lot of putty.
This Roden kit needs a lot of dry fit, the joining between the fuselage and the lower wing are not so good.

Masking of the tail and the upper and under wings iron crosses.
If you wonder why I masked the crosses and not just only glued a decal, the answer is that Pfalz flugzeugwerke painted the iron crosses with silbergrau and not white.

I think it's interesting that you suspended the Spandaus by threading a wire through the cooling jacket. A good idea! I've got several of these in the stash, and I see I'm going to have to resort to a lot of putty evidently. :(
Did this aircraft not have lozenge-covered wings?
-
I have this pic and I build it according to that.
This one is dated on march, 1918.
The scheme that you say it´s for another Pfalz DIIIa used by Degelow from may to june 1918 but I can´t find any photo.

And now the thrilling stage of biplanes; rigging or "hell on earth".
I use a stretched thread that a fellow modeller give to me some years ago.
Cause the thread is white I have to painted in gunmetal color.
I choose this method cause I had used stretched sprue on another aircraft some time ago and some rigs lost its stifness, and
in if you touch any rig by accident the stretched thread can bear the blow without any consequences with this kind of thread.
I use CA to glue the rigs.

Many thanks to all, fellows. I really appreciate your encouraging words. :D

Wow, what a nice looking model, you have done en excellent job with the building and painting of this model and the rigging turned out really well, an amazing result with a small scale.
Des.
I can't say it any better so therefore I agree with Des!

Truly extraordinary work, Edgardo, especially in such a tiny scale! What a beautiful little gem you've created!
Cheers,
Bud

That is a great model! I do like the black effect you have achieved. The machine guns are very special and have great detail! They must be very fragile...
Well done!

I don´t know if I deserve all those amazing comments, but I´m very happy with them. ;D
-
WOW.
I dont think I am worthy to build the 3 I have in my stash now. Excellent work
-
Excellent build. It looks really menacing in black.
-
Great looking Pfalz, like others have written black is quite difficult to do convincingly (especially in 1/72 I've found!) and those machine guns are simply stunning!
-
Edgardo, I add my words to those of the other fellows here: I think you did a fantastic work!

Many thanks to all, my fellows, I really appreciate your words.
Don´t worry Cajun, the Pfalz kits of Roden can be built in an easy way too, without all
that tiny pieces for the interior.
All you have to worried is about to align correctly the underwing with the fuselage and the
horizontal stabiliser, and of course you need some amount of putty.
Sadly this is my only Pfalz, I really envy the decals options of Eduard´s Pfalz in 1/48.
And I don´t know any Pfalz decals in 1/72.
-
Edgardo,
I believe there are some Pfalz decals on a few of the Pheon sheets. If you can fine any of the old Meikraft Pfalz kits, they are reputed to have some pretty good decals if memory serves me correctly.

Thanks Warren, you are right, I had forget the Pheon decals, but they bring only three jasta patterns and I already
have Albatros or Fokker DVII with that colours.
In about the Meikraft decals, I don´t know what kind of schemes they bring, I find two Pfalz of Meikraft
in ebay but the seller only show a very simple decal sheet with crosses and anything more.
By the way, anyone of you have any pic of Degelow´s Pfalz with lozenge camo?, he used it circa may/june 1918.
