Hello,
after I managed to size down some of my photos (which is quite simple, how I had to see...) I'd like to present here my first 1/48 WWI build ever: Eduards Nieuport 17, finished als the Plane of Capt. Campbell of 1 Sqn. in July 1917. I built her about two years ago completely out of the box as I wanted to try out that large scale (I built just 1/72 biplanes until then) – no research work or improving kit's parts.
Sorry that there are no in progress shots. I remember to habe painted the stripes rather than using the decals. The rigging is done with invisible thread and stretched cotton buds (I don't use this method any longer...). The pilot is from Eduard as well.
Well, what can I say? I caught fire with 1/48 WWI modelling...

Thanks so much to everyone!
I'm really happy to be here and to be able to show my models to fellow modelers. I love my wife, but when she passes my display case she uses to say "Oh, nice this...em...thing? is it an airplane or a tent..? And our cats refuse to appreciate biplanes at all...

Really nice work, Borsos!

Both the plane and the figure look extremely well. I really like the weathering too. I can`t see your other 1/48th models mate!
