Good morning Gentlemen (and Ladies of course!),
I'd like to introduce myself. I'm Borsos from Germany, I'm 34 years old and in modelling WWI subjects for about 15 years (after having quit modelling for such much more important things like girls, music and beer when I became a teenager...).
For a long time I built my stuff in 1/72 scale, then a serious modelling crisis got me in its mercyless hands and I quit 1/72 scale. I switched to 1/48 scale where I'm more or less a beginner again. But I'm blown away by the possibilities of this larger scale. I'm married and have two kids (there soon will be three), so I won't ever switch to 1/32 scale. I'll keep my hands off WNW kits, because there's not enough room to display them in our home. Well, I read several posts on this wonderfull forum and thought, that it would be the time to quit my anonymity and just say "Hello" to you folks :)

Welcome Borsos. You are right, it is a wonderful forum. I find it a constant source of inspiration and support as I flit across the scales, with a preference for 1/48.
Best wishes from France.

Oh my dear, all my photos are too large for the forum. Beeing an idiot using computers, it will need some time to reduce the size of the jpegs. I could give you a link that leads to my recent finished project
http://originalundmodell.de/bauberichte/nieuport_16.htm
Sorry, only in German. It's a site (still) mostly dedicated to modern and ww2 aviation - I'll do my best to change that ;)
I'll post pics on this forum as soon as I can...
Kind regards
Borsos

Puh, it worked... first pics in the "finished" section ...

Ciao Borsos, welcome on the Forum!!!

Great to have you on the site, Borsos! That Nieuport is beautiful! You will find scale is not a problem on this site - all scales seem to be well appreciated! But you will be tempted by WNW...
Regards,
Marc

Hi folks,
thanks a lot! I'm happy about the friendly welcome!
Marc, yes, I think too, WNW has turned the small world of WWI modelling upside down... But a well researched as the WNW kits are, I always take a look at their fantastic booklets that they publish as .pdf on their site. And I know several others who do the same. So WNW proves itself valuable for all scales ;)

Borsos,
Welcome aboard the Greatest WWI Aircraft Modeling Forum in the known universe my friend. It's a great pleasure to have such a talented modeler such as yourself a member here. Very impressive projects and an equally impressive website.

Borsos, WNW are the only model company I know that makes their research material so freely available... as you say, truly valuable in any scale!
