Been a tough week this past week. On the plus side it has gotten up to +8C last week which is very odd as we should be in the -20s to -40s. Unfortunately it has been damp and my back and neck have been killing me. I can live with that sort of. Where the stress comes in is my Daughter has been in hospital all week and only got out yesterday. Seems she was doing a spin class (stationary bike broken up with exercises) last Saturday. Sunday she was in pain, Monday, Tuesday went to the doctor. Blood was taken and then later that night she was told to get to Emerg. Seems she had a Lactic Acid build up. I guess most of us have 140 units per whatever and she was at 47000. Hooked up to an IV and they tried to get the count down. Yesterday it was around 3000 and they let her go to be at home and she has to go into hospital every few days for more testing. The Specialist was amazed her kidneys were not damaged. She was told if she waited one more day she could have had kidney failure. Well after her call that she was going home my wife got a call and her Mother is in very serious condition. Now I'm scrambling to get her a ticket home to visit. So modeling has been sporadic to non existent. I think I'm getting too old for all this stuff lol. So we'll see where this week goes. A trip to the airport for sure. Maybe I might see about a trip to the hobby shop while there and see if that will help although I wont be able to buy much of anything.

That certainly sounds as if you had a very tough and nerve wracking week. I hope your daughter recovers quickly from her illness and now your mother in law, I hope her issues are not serious and the medical authorities get on top of very soon. There are enough problems we face on a daily basis without having to see our loved ones in peril, a trip to the hobby shops sounds like good therapy ;)

What an awful week you've had, James, and my thoughts are with you and your loved ones. Let us hope that your daughter and mother-in-law are well on the road to recovery.
Best wishes

James,
Never rains but it pours, that's a pretty bad week I'd say. I hope all goes well, sounds like in your daughter's case it's on the mend but what a frighteningly serious and close call. I hope this all turns better quickly for you and Christine, you must be wrecks! Be safe and well!

Man, James that is certainly one of those weeks we want to forget!
I really hope all turns out ok, my friend and I hope you are right
about the threes thing. Enough is enough for goodness sakes!
Best wishes from me, my friend.
Cheers,
Ernie :)

Yes lets hope that the third piece of bad news is the last and that all concerned make rapid and complete recoveries. Will be thinking of you all. I do find that at times of stress modelling helps (and I get plenty of the stressful times).

Thank you everyone. So far all is well. Daughter released on Saturday and she is doing okay now. Mother in Law is okay and should be going home, and may not require surgery at this time. So world is starting to get back to level. Now all I need is to get back to modeling :)
