Title: Jagdgeschwader Nr III
Post by: Fokker boy on January 26, 2016, 04:39:21 AM: Yet another in the continuing line of WWI Aces books, the Osprey title, Aces of Jagdgeschwader Nr III (number 128 in the series), seems so far to be very interesting. One of the Albatros D.III schemes has really caught my eye, so I'll soon be hunting down a 1:32 Roden kit for that.

I agree, I hope they're wrong too. These books, in addition to the Windsock Datafiles, are some of the best references going, in my opinion.

The source on the Drome of this statement was none other than Greg van Wyngarden. He basically said that the Elite Unit series will not have any more titles. As a matter of fact the Aces of JGIII book was originally intended to be in the Elite Units series. He added that it is getting harder for the Editors at Osprey get the Powers that be to commission WW1 titles due to lagging sales. So the short answer is we must buy or they will be gone.

Interesting! Lagging sales and the Aces of JGIII is already sold out? A small production run or did the word get out causing a massive amount of sales?
