Title: Introduction
Post by: Mike Vice on July 26, 2012, 02:47:13 PM
New to this forum and it looks like a good one!  You folks might even force me to finish something!  And maybe even post it?  ... Naah!
          Mike Vice
Interests: mostly WWI aviation history; I only actually finish a model about once a year.  I'm a charter member of OTF and an oh-so-many-years member of Cross and Cockade International.  I've got a humongous library so if you need help on historical issues I can oblige, possibly, and if not, I may be able to get Jon Guttman or Greg VanWyngarden or whomever also to help.  BTW, any adventurous members out there want to go bicycling in England next summer, from aviation museu, to aviation museum?  Nothing strenuous--I'm an Old Fart!  (Reply off-line at [email protected])

Mike!  So glad you finally took the plunge.  You're gonna love it here.  Best, most generous and helpful group of modelers I've seen anywhere.  Many are former 'dromers, many are also on GWITA and you'll also recognize quite a few listees.  So jump right in.  And, of course you'll be posting.  Starting with that Aurora Biff for the OKGB.
Cheers,
Bud

Welcome Mike, and yes, you'll no doubt hear from me with the odd request for obscure info! (Be silly to ignore such a generous offer)
Cheers,
Lance

We don't have any deadlines - at least here!!!

Mike, do not heed that nice Italian gentleman.  There absolutely are dead lines here.  Especially for you.  You need to get your head out of those books and get some modeling done.  Don't you have at least a dozen Fokker D.VIIs to build?  Better get to it, buddy.  Chop chop!  ;)
Cheers,
Bud
