HI
in parallell of my fokker I 've decided to start the build of my Hansa Brandenburg by wingnut wings
I hope to make mine as well as some who were built here
you know the box and I add aviattic décals
and some parts taurus model (sparkplug)
(http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/4225521.jpg) (http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=4225521.jpg)
and some parts from HGW models
seatbelts
engine
parabellum
(http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/3653902.jpg) (http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=3653902.jpg)
it's my first wingnuts wing kit so I follow the notice and it seems they are a lot of work
at first I try to reproduce the wood effet on the fuselage (thank forum for the tips)
(http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/80144416.jpg) (http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=80144416.jpg)
while the oil was drying I prepare the wings
white shade in black or brown to make some effects and gloss clear for decalling

It seems that taurus aftermarket for the mercedes is not appropriate for the W12
So I will use it for another build ;D

I paint and shade the lower wings
(http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/7956046.jpg) (http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=7956046.jpg)

Excellent work on the engine and MGs! Everything looks great in place on the kit!
RAGIII

Coming along very nicely Moustique! Lovely detail work, especially the engine; where or how did you do the connections on the ignition wires? They are superb and really add a "clean" appearance to the engine. I'd really like to be able to do those.
Cheers,
Lance
-
thank Rick
Thank Lance
if you talk about the red wire on the engine it's a combination of the parts HGW
(http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/4627822bis.jpg) (http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=4627822bis.jpg)
and a soft coloured metal wire red 0.3mm by tuner model manufactory wash with brown

(http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/25324935.jpg) (http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=25324935.jpg)
then some oil dilued with white spirit to make décals less shiny
(http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/44944736.jpg) (http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=44944736.jpg)
(http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/16176537.jpg) (http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=16176537.jpg)

(http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/96474241.jpg) (http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=96474241.jpg)

(http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/91308242.jpg) (http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=91308242.jpg)

Great update! Your W12 is tastefully weathered and your prop turned out beautifully!

Looks great ! I was going to do a Hannover next ,but after seeing your build .I probably will do W12 next .It`s a cool looking A/C .Are those the kit decals ?
-
Really nice build!
And you representation of it is excellent - it has rekindled my desire to build either my W.29 or W.12!
-
That's a beautiful job of accenting and use of "washes" Moustique, something I keep trying to do better. Your example here will help in that regard!
Cheers,
Lance

Is the Tamiya panel line wash water based ? Or do you need a thinner to remove the excess .

Hi
a little update
I finished the floats and I have a little trouble with the decals on them
so I use a strong méthod
I use tamiya thinner and hair dryer
(http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/501413TAM000810400l.jpg) (http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=501413TAM000810400l.jpg)
and I can say that aviattic décals are fantastic no reaction with my method and the décals goes very well
here's the floats
(http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/8630275133.jpg) (http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=8630275133.jpg)
(http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/9422598334.jpg) (http://www.hostingpics.net/viewer.php?id=9422598334.jpg)
I hope it will be finished this week end
