Title: 'The Flight Brothers', 1912
Post by: Old Man on November 24, 2015, 01:44:42 AM
Wife came across this, and thought it might amuse me. It did.

It is a young people's book, published in 1912 by the same people who carried on the 'Wizard of Oz' sequels. I expect boys up to their early teens before the war may well have read the this.

Here is the cover, and the color illustrations in it:

As you can see, the boys, and a young miss, seem to have gotten pretty far in the world....

I have not read through it, but here is a link to an on-line copy of the thing....

"That looks mighty easy." remarked Billy as he watched the flight of the Perfect Aeroplane. ;D

Haha, Great stuff! The illustrations are very nice too. The black and white ones throughout the book are even better, IMHO.

Thanks for sharing this, OM!

Very cool, OM!  I especially like the old "wizard/pilot".
Cheers,
