Hello,
Get back to resin and rather sticker action than painting, I start up the thread referring to experimental planes with …yes - no rigging :)
Albatros D.XI with 11 cylinder (160hp) rotary engine manufactured by Siemens-Halske, released by Karaya several years ago. I have decided to picked this one as still got some MicroSculpt lozenge and Uschi wood structure decals, so started up with airfoil.

A really nice start on this one. Your application of the Lozenge and edging tape is awesome!

K,
Having spent the last 2 days of Modelling time doing the lozenge on my SSW DIII I can appreciate the amount of work your photos represent! Great job on the edge tapes. Will you be adding the rib tapes as well or did this aircraft have them?
Cheers,
Lance
-
thanks!

Yes indeed, I have done it already but have to gather photos. Used Techmod decals, which were too thick for the implementation, so had to separate them into two parts

You're off to a great start, K! So glad to see you doing this kit. I love the Karaya line. Very fine casting of some interesting subjects. I'm looking forward to following your build.

nice woodgrain effect and excellent job on the wing decals? everything looks great except 1 thing.there wouldnt be rigging inside the fuselage side walls. the fuselage of this plane is wood frame with plywood skin. they only did crossed rigging on fabric covered portions of great war aircraft.
-
Hello,
Yes, rigging in the cocpit might be my mistake. Unfortunately fuslage is closed and not able to change it.
Some work on dashboard was last stage on interior assembly. This thing is so small that could not find any representative decals in my stash. Finally used some from Fokker E.V , put some SOL and drop of transparent acrylic paint.
Here you have some photos:

I have decided to differ little bit the fuselage panels in case of paint tone, do Uschi decals and put some filters (if needed) before final oil paint

You also used Uschis decals?
I'm curious how it looks then on your plane.

Hello All,
These are the last pictures of assembly. All parts are ready for implementation, so within few days the bird (rather hummingbird) will be ready for its first flight to the glass cabinet:) (probably it will be its last one as well)
The prop finishing was last problematic thing to be solved, but thanks to PrzemoL this was unveiled

Thanks, K. I have those powders too, but I've only used them on small metal bits like machine guns. I'll have to try larger areas.
