Hello all,
My name is Bill Jobson, and since the age of 12 ( when I built an Aurora Nieuport 11) have had a great interest in WW1 aircraft. At age 56 with kids out of the house I have a bit more time - and space - to spare I am looking forward to doing more building. Looking forward to spending much time here!

Welcome aboard, Bill!,
You will greatly enjoy this forum.
I'm looking forward to seeing some of your builds.
All the best,

Welcome back Bill! It's amazing how many of us here have followed the same path, coming back to the Hobby once the family has shrunk and time comes available again. You'll find everything you need here and more, enjoy the Forum and get building!

Hey - while I am just getting underway with some recently acquired kits, I was wondering if there was a place in the forums to post our own historic photos. I have snapshots from my grandfather's buddy, who was in the U.S. Air Service in 1917. Looks like training planes, crew, staff, some aerial snaps. He was killed in a crash (accident) in 1917. I have a picture of the wrecked plane (Breguet, I believe). I will scan them, just don't know where to post them here. Thanks in advance!

Welcome, Bill! As others have said, this is a terrific and supportive place.
I live just north of the Jersey border in NY state and teach in Paramus.

How did I miss this fact, Drew? I'm in Queens, 2 rivers away from you boys. Welcome aboard. Bill. It's a great crowd.
Go Mets!
Cheers from NYC,
Michael

Michael, I probably never really mentioned it. I'm Queens born and Long Island raised and a lifelong Mets' fan, so not much modeling will get done this week, obviously.
For you and Bill, I try to go to Mosquitocon every year; it's in early April in Wayne, NJ. There isn't much of a WWI presence, so maybe we three could go next year and boost the entries for our era.
