Jirka from HPH has sent me these images of what they have in the works. First up is the Austro Daimler engine to suit their Aviatik Berg D.1 in 1:32 scale, they also plan to produce this same engine in 1:18 scale.

The second kit they are working on is the Caproni CA.3 in 1:32 scale, this will be an awesome kit but it will require a lot of detail, I wish the guys good luck with this kit and if produced it should be a real eye opener.

It's great to see companies taking the plunge into 1:32 scale WW1 aircraft kits, they will not be cheap kits but they will certainly be unique.

Oh Nice...
Such promising things, something to complement WNW's releases I'm sure.
They could market that Austro Daimler engine alone and make a lot of people who want to build an OEFAG DIII very happy.

Oooh, a Caproni CA.3! I'll be wanting one of those.
Being a 3D modeler, I really enjoy seeing the preliminary 3D work used to create the models. Thanks for sharing these, Des.

That is a great news!!! I have 2 2/18 WW2 engines from them and WWI engine in this scale will be brilliant piece next to another planes!!!
Aviatik Berg? Yes, please :)

A Berg in 1/32? Bring it on....soon!
-
Do we assume these will be done in resin?
-
Yes Michael, both resin kits with some parts being made from glassfibre.

Finally someone is soon be producing a 1/32 scale Aviatik Berg !!!! This is one of those kits I never thought I'd see. The Caproni CA.3 is another kit in 1/32 I never thought I'd see as well. Best of luck to HPH and continued success . Thanks Des for passing along this excellent news my old friend.

Wow! This is a golden age for us.
Best wishes

berg... yes please but the ca3 will be another one of those $250 or more , meter wingspan beasts. obviously some guys want these things but to me it seems so many fighters and such that need a kit. maybe the few that do will make their buisness venture worth the long hours and expense worth it.
-
The wingspan of the Caproni CA.3 in 1:32 scale will be 71.87cm, a big model but not overly huge.

This Berg is giving me chills ;)
Well done all @HPH.

*Finally....a 1/32 scale Aviatik Berg!!!!* ............Yes, Gregory, almost too good to be true, ain't it...especially if they present it with an option for Linke-Crawford's Berg....now we're talkin'.
-
still is 29 inches .to me that's humongous.the berg on the other hand is a beautiful airframe. and there are so many options for markings.you gotta hex patterns. you got the yellow and grey splotches you got the saw blade patternyou got autumn leaf you got summer leaf pattern. there's the mustard yellow with green and red brown speckles there's even natural finish with a wood fuselage and CDL wings.plenty of gorgeous markings.hopefully they make the fuselage wooden part in one piece and the nose and upper call in a separate peace because then you can scratch build the round nosewith the separate radiator giving you probably a hundred optionsif you consider pilot markings
-
Lots of work for Rowan.
-
As mentioned in another thread, the wings will need some form of metal rod to avoid sagging. They also need a robust cradle device within the fuselage and upper wing center section to keep it all together.
-
Thanks for the new on the mtls., Des. I will admit to never having built a kit that had glass fiber as one of the materials. Has anyone done so? I believe HPH's Catalina has glass fiber wings...has anyone actually built one? I'd love to know what the detail is like and how well it all goes together.
So...Caproni.....smaller than a Felixstowe but larger than a Gotha? Is that correct? I could probably find space for it but, as I said before, I don't want to pay a million bucks, quid, yen, marks or rubles for a kit that needs corrections and upgrading as their M.5 did. If Sir Peter and his crew were planning one, I pray the HPH release won't put them off! Having HPH put out a 1/32 Mossie didn't stop Tamiya from releasing theirs, but I'm not sure there's the same mark for something big and Italian...at least in aircraft!

Michael,

I think these are the dimensions you're looking for, Michael:
36
24
36
-
George,
LOL. I'm not certain but I believe your dimensions are slightly under scale.

Who apparently isn't the only DOM here.

George, I'm afraid Gregory is correct regarding the proper dimensions.
Signora Loren is just as beautiful now as she was in those days, IMHO. And frankly, I don't think there's anything dirty about it, old Man. Indeed, she looks freshly washed to me.
Yes, give me a Macchi racer, a Ferrari sports car, or Claudia Cardinale or Gina Lolobrigida, and my 1/8th Italian blood will run extra red in my otherwise WASPy veins.
